This is one of over a hundred Silent Death spaceships I painted in Space Wolves color schemes. They were painted for Jim Bell. I used Space Wolf grey with a little dry brush of white. It was painted over a smelly primer base coat which was not sprayed on. I then black lined the models. I used Bad Moon Yellow and Blood Red as the secondary colors and three different GW blues for the cockpits. The metallics were Boltgun Metal and of course GW transfers. All these pots were very old and likely don't match what GW is currently selling. This is one of my great painting accomplishments of all time. I came up with a really simple but effective scheme that allowed me to paint a lot of models in a little time that still looked good. Every model I painted for Jim had squad markings and the Escorts had actual names, I believe the Longboats were called "Odin's Wrath" and "Odin's Fury".
It took part in the 1000 ship game run by the Ottawa Red Shirts.
