This is my Dad's side of the family. The McKay's originated in Scotland and settled on Vancouver Island in the 1800's. There are some branches about which now little is known, but of those still around on the Island there are two living males with the surname McKay, of which I am one, who are not married and potentially could carry on the family name another generation.
I ended up making the family tree in Microsoft Excel than I exported it as a web page then since that HTML was ugly enough to break my layout I tried sticking Excel's code inside an iFrame. The people with the purple background attended our little reunion on November 5th 2006 and are pictured here. I even made a blog entry about our gathering.
